Garrett is a contemporary artist, born and raised in Tennessee. Jeremy Garrett attended high school at Central High in Memphis. There he won six gold medals in the National Scholastics Art Awards Competition, the first time in the High School's history. Jeremy Garrett received scholarship and graduated from one of the country’s most acclaimed institutions, the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. There he majored in comic design and illustration. While in college, Garrett started his own commercial art/fine art studio located in Manhattan's East Village and called it Black Work Studio.

I've always been a fan of high-end fine art and design for as long as I can remember. At 16, I made the mistake of commissioning a project on a whim that I ended up being very unhappy with. For the next 31 years, I lived with that disappointment until I found NYARTMAN. Despite me being based in Australia, Jeremy worked with me personally to understand exactly what I wanted to achieve. Upon my arrival in NY, Jeremy free-handed a technical illustration directly over the existing work I had lived with for years. It was hard for me to visualize the final result just by seeing the initial drafting lines, but I trusted Jeremy’s vision. He gave me the confidence to see the project through to the end. What a result—he exceeded every expectation. He delivered a custom illustration that I am incredibly proud of. NYARTMAN is a true artist whom I would recommend in an instant if you are looking for professional design work. I know he’s the only illustrator I’ll be going to for my future projects.
